One of my favorite genres of literature is Young Adult Fiction. In general, I am drawn to the way the genre portrays the inner-conflict of developing identity in contrast with rigid social constructs and harmful ideology. Characters often find that rejecting previous mindsets lead them closer to self-realization. I especially love dystopian novels.
